Bead-shophop.com is excited to bring the 2010 SoCAL Bead Shop Hop to Southern California.  They have
assembled 33 of the BEST bead stores in the area for you to explore, discover new ideas, take new classes,
receive free gifts, earn chances to win fabulous prizes, and discovering new places to get your bead fix.

Each store you visit will provide you with beads toward a bead project (instructions and findings will be provided

Here at Mountain Beadworks, we have the following scheduled for you.

Fusionglass Co. will be with us during the bead shop hop to offer a trunk show with their one-of-a-kind fused
glass pieces.   Additionally, you can join Fusionglass Co artists, Paul Fernandes and Debbie Solan for a fun
mini workshop on glass making.   They believe that there is no better way to appreciate something than by
having a go at making it yourself!

You will create your own beautiful glass pendant, approximately 2" X 2", for $20. Reserve your space before
September 15th, and make two beautiful glass pieces for $35!  The Glass Workshop is scheduled for
Saturday, September 18th, with additional dates possible depending on demand.  Reserve your space
today by calling us at 760-765-3100.

                   Fourth Annual Festival of Artisans
                Saturday, October 9, 2010, 10:00 to 4:00pm
                Sunday, October 10, 2010, 10:00 to 4:00pm
For one weekend in October, the area surrounding Mountain Beadworks becomes a showcase for the diverse
skills and talents of creative people, in our fourth annual event called Festival of Artisans. This event is a
gathering for all who appreciate creative expression. This event has been created to promote, showcase,
highlight, and reward the creative expression that has been discovered in these artisans.  Additionally, it is
hoped that this festival will stimulate the creativity in those who attend. However, this festival is not just for
beaders or jewelry designers. It is for anyone who has discovered an outlet for their creativity, through painting,
working with wood, glass, fiber, paper, clay or metal, and all people who use their heart and hands to express
themselves in a manner that is unique to their view on life. The event is free and is open to all from 10:00 until
4:00pm.   General information about the event can be downloaded here.  Applications for vendor space can also
be downloaded here, or picked up at the store.

"The more you know,
the more your interest
develops.
You don't have to be
born with talent.
You need knowledge and
a safe, comfortable
environment to explore."

"You were my first exposure to
beading/quality beads/importance of
quality finishing & workmanship/etc
……so I’m spoiled, & everything else
comes back to measuring up to
Mountain Beadworks."
"I had a wonderful time,
plus learning more in a
class than I ever have.
It felt as if I
went to a friends home
to bead with them.
Good class, good food and
wonderful new friends."
