Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a clay-like substance that combinesvery tiny particles of pure silver, with water and an organic binder. It can be molded,stamped, carved, etched, and a variety of materials can be added to it (glass, stones,etc.) After it is fired in our kiln, the result is a piece of .999 fine silver. In this class you will complete several pieces of fine silver jewelry using PMC. Fee: $95/person includes 18 grams of silver clay and the use of all tools and the kiln. Lunch is also included. You will learn how to make the foundation of this bracelet using peyote stitch, and a variety of sizes and shapes of beads. Then you will learn how to build on top of this in any way that your creative juices take you. The bracelet can take on any shape depending on the beads you choose to use. The Festival of Artisans is a gathering for all who apreciate creative expression. It was conceived of as a way to showcase the diverse skills and talents of the creative people that we all are. Booths will be set up by creative artists as a way to sell, demonstrate, exhibit or promote skills and crafts that demonstrate their creativity. There is no charge for persons to attend this festival, and there wil be plenty of free parking available for autos and RV's.
